| Mission Statement
After founding the Starke Art Foundation in 1988 which has the purpose of supporting emerging artists, there was coming the time in 1991 to open a gallery, where young and talented artists could find a home. The gallery opened her gates in the same building, where the foundation was located, the Lions palace in Berlin-Grunewald, the district where most of the German celebrities found a home.
The mission of „Jorg Starke – Fine Arts“is to find new talents and support them in various ways. For example did the Gallery already three projects at the Venice Biennale and was working together with the Miro Foundation in Mallorca/Spain. The Gallery organized an exhibition with the sculptor Dieter Finke in Mexico City and did projects with Yoko Ono in Venice , Rome , Mallorca and Berlin .
The diversity of finding new talents on one side and presenting established artists as Yoko Ono, Joseph Kosuth, Rebecca Horn, Björn Melhus and Sol LeWitt makes the gallery so unique. The gallery primarily is looking for emerging artists, but also for collectors who love to discover something new. The gallery proved in the last years, that the selected artists found their way into the art market.
Treasures of the gallery are well known advisors of the art world. The gallery is working close together with Wulf Herzogenrath, director of the Kunsthalle in Bremen , who is one of the major experts for video art in the world. Other advisors are Professor Markus Lüpperts, President of the university for fine arts in Düsseldorf , Germany , Professor Rebecca Horn, Professor at the university for fine arts in Berlin and Professor Klaus Siebenhaar, President at the Free university in Berlin , who invented the department for cultural management.
The director of „Jorg Starke – Fine Arts“, Jorg Starke, also himself was teaching at the universities in Berlin and Weimar in Germany cultural management and was giving lectures at the university of fine arts in Mexico City.

Yoko Ono Ono was one of the most remarkable figures in the fluxus movement in the sixties and together with George Macianus, Joseph Beuys and Jon Cage she found a way of making art, which included beside visual arts, also music, lyrics and speeches.
Mic Enneper Mic Enneper is a very famous room in room installation artists, who was creating environments in several well known museums in Germany . The extraordinary philosophy from this is that he is doing only an installation for a special room, which is destroyed after the exhibition, is finished. From this material he is than creating wall objects.

Ruth Biller The painter Ruth Biller is painting film stills in a way that the viewer thinks that it is still moving. She is using historical subjects.
Claudia Schink Claudia Schink is a painter, philosopher and photographer. She is mixing all medias in her work.
Innes van Sassen This artist is painting big canvases with oil and is creating dream faces.
Colette The former muse of Jeff Koons is “coletizising” old paintings, furniture and whole rooms. Known for her room installations she is now also doing portraits from important people.
Fred George The photographer Fred George is creating photos in front of very special locations and also is organizing performances with this background.
Mariano Rinaldi Goni The Argentinean painter invents stories for them he is painting his subjects. Very erotic and always with a deep sense behind.
Bernd Uhlig The photographer Bernd Uhlig is coming original out of the professional business. He was a theatre and ballet photographer. Now his photo turned into a very sophisticated way and gives a dream vision to this.
Robert Gober The gallery have some of the rare works of Robert Gober “Sleeping Man – Hanging Man”. These pieces are world wide desired by many collectors. These pieces the gallery wants to present in Miami .
